How to restrict someone from Adding you to a Group on WhatsApp?

Isn’t it annoying when someone adds you to a group which is not relevant to you?

Or if someone adds you to a group which is just meant for selling admin’s product?

On 8th November 2019, WhatsApp has solved this problem by rolling out the feature that enables you to control who can add you to a WhatsApp group.

With this feature, you can also restrict someone from Adding you to a group.

How to Control the Group Invite?

Follow below steps to change your Group invite settings.

1. Tab three vertical dots on the top right of you screen

2. A pop-up will come up, as show below. Tab Settings.

3. Now you will see, WhatsApp’s setting page. Tab Account.

4. Now tab Privacy.

5. Now tab Groups on Privacy Page.

6. Now choose your Privacy Setting for Groups.

To restrict your a particular person from adding you to a group, Choose “My Contacts except…”.

In WhatsApp Business, the options are little different. It doesn’t allow you to restrict particular person from adding you to the group.

In WhatsApp Messenger App you get “My Contacts except…” and in WhatsApp Business App this get replaced by “Nobody”.
